# Veterinary Assistant

## About this position

The ideal candidate must be eager to learn, take direction well and be self motivated. Some of the main duties are as follows:

- Keep hospital in a clean, sanitary, and odor-free state, inside and outside.
- Set up and clean up of surgical procedures, including instrument pack sterilization
- Clean and stock exam rooms after office visits.
- Report and record important information about animals' conditions.
- Provide compassionate care and restraint for patients.
- Wash laundry
- Feed and care for hospitalized animals as directed by technician or doctor.
- Prepare animals for discharge (i.e., brushing and cleaning)
- Assist the technicians, client service team and doctors as needed.
- Assist clients with pets and products to and from their cars.
- Stock shelves and drawers
- Enter necessary items on the hospital supply list
- Perform hospital and equipment maintenance tasks according to the maintenance schedule.

Previous veterinary experience is preferred

Job Type: PART TIME (20-25 hrs per week)

Salary: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
